FAQ

Since the start of the 600 kg UL discussion, we have been on the side of the associations on a thematic basis and have actively participated. This means that we have been able to deliver every newly ordered UL as “600 kg ready” since January 2018. Fortunately, we were also able to develop a conversion for many of our existing aircraft, which will enable our Breezer family to benefit from the innovations.

Which Breezers can be converted?

All Breezers built according to data sheets: 61178.2 and 61178.3.

Older versions, which were built according to data sheets 61178 and 61178.1, cannot be charged.

What is being done?

A range of sheets, profiles and rivets are reinforced. The wings, the horizontal stabilizer, the traverse and the nose landing gear are primarily affected. In addition, instrument markings, stickers and the manual are changed.

Can I carry out this conversion myself or have it done by a service partner?

No The conversion is being carried out at the plant in Bredstedt.

Approximately how much will the conversion cost?

For an offer with current prices, please contact our service department by email at:

Approximately how long will the conversion to my Breezer take?

This depends heavily on the individual configuration of the aircraft. Points such as painting or finishing play a decisive role there. In addition, a final test and a verification flight are required, for which airworthy weather must prevail.

Do I need a new rescue?

No The BRS 1050 has received a 600kg data sheet and can remain unchanged in the Breezer, including the attachment.

Can I officially fly with 600kg take-off mass after the conversion?

Yes We apply for the new aircraft documents (registration certificate and noise protection certificate) from the association. As soon as the Breezer is rebuilt and we have the new documents, the aircraft can take off with 600kg take-off mass.
